Working with local graphic designer Loretta Attwater, The Shed has undergone a fun overhaul of branding to reflect the current direction of the practice to focus on building “a collective” of experts that engage in the iterative process of design and discovery. Professional yet not rigid.
The colour scheme was mostly inspired by the back of the office door. The hardwood coat hooks designed and built by Owen Kelly while working with The Shed are designed to scratch away at the charcoal paint in a circular motion to reveal a bright orange base coat (a colour I did not entertain, despite its popularity, during our in-office negotiations of our joinery upgrades, choosing very safe charcoal and timber instead). This was Owen’s hilarious retaliation, which turns out is a really good approach for a logo design.
