Rising Sun Workshop Pop Up

Rising Sun Workshop is a communal motorcycle space with a bustling cafe that supports the workshop. A social enterprise in a format that has never been seen before, it began as a crowdfunding campaign but encountered many roadblocks through the planning process when it came to finding a bricks and mortar home. This Pop Up space had to be temporary, make the most of what existed and leave little to no trace when the lease ended. A six month pop-up with a 40 seat cafe and D-I-Y motorcycle workshop

Architecture: History unknown but various locals tell us it started life as a gokart mechanic space in the late 1950’s.

Completed: 2014
